We have an opening for a Security Solution Architect to provide expert advice and assistance, evaluate security technologies, and recommend solutions to the Director, Cyber Security Solution Architecture. As part of the Program, the Architect will also provide guidance and expertise for the implementation of security controls for the organization’s IT systems, assist in the development of a Security Architecture and participate in the design and implementation of proposed solutions
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in providing consultation with respect to the design and development of integration security programs or frameworks •A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the leadership of technical resources.
Demonstrated experience in a variety of security technologies such as:
Intrusion detection systems
End-point protection systems
Security event and incident management platforms
Access privilege management solutions and/or
Certificate authorities and public key infrastructure solutions
Demonstrated experience in the implementation of security in an IaaS, PaaS and/or SaaS infrastructure
Demonstrated experience in the application of compliance frameworks (such as NIST 800.53R4 and ISO 270001).
Demonstrated experience in the development and evolution of enterprise security architectures.
Demonstrated experience in the development of security policies and security technical standards.
Demonstrated experience with different architecture and design techniques (e.g., object-oriented, top-down, structured analysis and component-based design) and tools.
Strong business acumen, including the ability to translate business needs into application solutions.
SCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CCIE, CISSP or other relevant designation
Lead or oversee the design and implementation of security solutions to meet business requirement in a secure manner.
Work with internal stakeholders to understand their business objectives and translate these into IT technical security requirements.
Work within enterprise-wide security operation and risk management frameworks.
Lead or participate in all phases of the development methodology cycle to implement the required IT security, adding technical know-how, creativity and a seasoned perspective to initiatives and teams.
Analyze system needs and perform process re-engineering, operation management and research.
Optimize the selection of solutions to meet business needs, choosing between leveraging existing solutions, integrating third-party software or undertaking new developments.
Perform technical analysis and provide feasibility estimates for ongoing enhancement requests; monitor and analyze application system performance and implement corrective measures and application code changes, as appropriate.
Assist in the research and monitor technology developments, industry trends and innovations to assess their applicability, functionality and reliability for the organization, and recommend technologies that help clients enhance productivity and achieve their business objectives.
Resolve complex problems related to all systems within Resource’s area of expertise to ensure stable and reliable technology solutions and environments.
Provide advice to the organization with respect to the design and development of integration frameworks and reusable components, ensuring proper consideration of people, processes and technology.
Provide leadership in the development, evolution and promotion of best practices, techniques, for cyber security methods and tools.
